Since 2017, the John D.V. Salvador Foundation has created a flourishing partnership with Don Bosco Vocational Training Center (TVET), which is a vocational training school in facility in the Tondo area of Manila. For a very reasonable fee, young adults can attend various programs including Hospitality, Welding, Chef training, and more.
Don Bosco TVET facility in Tondo area is a very large set of buildings and property that has not been able to be properly maintained. The JDVSF funds specific facility upgrades in exchange for support for SMDP student attendence in programs, and in particular, focusing on increased access for women’s programs.
Specific facility funding projects JDVSF have supported include:
- Upgraded commercial kitchen equipment for the Tourism & Hospitality program
- New roofing
- Women’s dormitories
- Upgrades to electrical infrastructure
We offer a couple of other donation options such as checks, money orders, and company matching programs.
