Centro Salvador thrives while providing hundreds with shelter, food and healthcare

Centro Salvador, the halfway house in Tondo, has been buzzing with activity since its inauguration in July, 2013.

In addition to housing 12 children who are studying in Manila, Centro Salvador supports hundreds more. Close to 700 local children sponsored through Chalice Canada are provided with healthcare, dental care, food and education at the home. Over thirty children have also received specialized medical interventions and surgery, including three who had life-saving heart surgery.

Centro Salvador continues to be flexible for various programs. At times it has served as a soup kitchen, classroom, hospital and training center to accommodate needs.
