Centro Salvador and St. Martin de Porres are not in the direct path of a powerful typhoon ripping through the Philippines.
Board Member Eunice Cheng Chua says, “Since Manila and Bulacan are not in the direct path of the storm, there’s little rain and wind. The weather is generally fine in Manila the whole day, and it rained only in the late afternoon.”
Typhoon Haiyan hit the island of Samar, on the eastern edge of the Philippines, early Friday morning and sped across the islands in the center of the country. The death toll continues to rise.
