New School Bolsters Children’s Future

SMDP has established a new school to accommodate the growing children’s village which has exceeded the capacity of the local school in nearby Bustos.

The new building is nearly completed and being used by all 125 children who attend school there. Students are following the curriculum from Angelicum College, a pioneer in self-paced learning in the Philippines. JDVSF established a partnership with the Manila branch two years ago.

Angelicum provides several teachers free of charge and conducts exams. This program allows the children to graduate with a K-12 high school diploma, a qualification that gives them access to technical education, vocational training and even a college education. No wonder the children proudly wear their badges from Angelicum College.
