John David Vincent Salvador, the second of five children, was born in New York City in 1968 in the hospital where his parents, a doctor and nurse, met after emigrating from the Philippines. From a very young age, John’s curiosity, joyful spirit, sincerity, and caring earned the respect and friendship of children and adults alike. Very inquisitive about life outside his home, John was an avid explorer of his surroundings, who wrung the most out of a world full of adventure and possiblity.
